Dr. Meng is a native of Illinois and has maintained a private practice in Missoula for 30 years.

He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1977. He then completed a residency program in general dentistry at Illinois Research Hospital in Chicago. His program covered all phases of dentistry with emphasis on management of individuals with complex medical problems.In 1978 Vince worked as a Clinical instructor at the University of Illinois and was a clinician and Director of the Department of Dentistry at Franklin Boulevard Community Hospital.

Dr. Meng started a private practice in Missoula in 1979. Vince dedicates extensive time to continuing education with much emphasis on esthetic dentistry and utilization of dental implants. Dr. Meng is currently involved in his 17th year of study with the Montana Study Club, 15 of these years were under the mentorship of internationally known prosthodontist, Dr. Frank Spear . These two day sessions occur four times a year in our office and focus on achievement of clinical excellence with proper diagnosis and planning.  Vince also presents various lectures on dental implants and esthetic dentistry in the northwest region. Vince was recently a speaker at the International Team for Implantology (ITI) Congress in Scottsdale, Arizona. ITI is an independent organization dedicated to education and research with dental implants.

Joe Meng was born and raised in small town northern Wisconsin.

He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Montana in 2002, and earned a dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2006. He most recently completed a 3 year dental specialty certificate program in Prosthodontics and received a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX in 2009.

His program in Prosthodontics primarily focused on the esthetic reconstruction and replacement of teeth in complex cases, using fixed or removable appliances in conjunction with dental implants. Additional  training involved treatment of jaw joint problems and sleep apnea. This program also included rotations at Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Universities of Geneva and Bern, Switzerland.

Joe has also been involved in scientific research throughout his education. He has presented research and table clinics at numerous national and international symposiums, and has also authored some publications.

Joe is very excited to back in the Big Sky Country to join his uncle and mentor, Vince Meng, in dental practice!
